The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is Google and Samsung’s second collaboration with a joint flagship device. The phone boasts some impressive specs and sleek design, but its most prominent feature is the Google’s latest Operating System, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich that is making its entry on the device. This new OS brings redesigned look and feel to Android, with subtle tweaks that make the real differences. The revamped user experience features new types of widgets, improved multitasking, notifications, Near Field Communications (NFC) sharing with Android Beam, Face Unlock, Wi-Fi hotspot and a full Web browsing experience. Galaxy Nexus is also the first Android smartphone to feature software navigation buttons. All the nitty gritty details such as the lock screen, home screen, phone app, web browser, email and everything in between have been reevaluated and revamped to make Android easy to use and beautiful.

Galaxy Nexus also features best in class hardware including ultra fast dual core 1.2GHz application processor, 1 GB RAM providing superior power and speed ensuring users take advantage of Galaxy Nexus improved multitasking capabilities with ease or be glued to the large, vivid display to its full capacity with high definition gaming or video streaming. The powerful combination of dual core processor and LTE or HSPA+ connectivity enables faster connectivity and web-loading, seamless multitasking, softer UI transitions. Galaxy Nexus also comes with 32 GB on-board memory (but does not have a microSD card slot). Galaxy Nexus features impressive 4.65″ HD Super AMOLED display with a market leading resolution of 720p resolution (1280×720), enabling users enjoy sensational entertainment experience and swift web browsing in superior clarity. Sporting sleekly curved design and ultra thin 8.94mm form factor, with a minimal 4.29mm bezel, GALAXY Nexus provides superb portability alongside an expansive screen. The immaculate exterior with Hyper Skin cover is pleasing to touch and makes the phone slip-resistant.

The 5-megapixel rear-facing camera comes with automatic focus, best in class low light performance and zero shutter lag. Instantly open it right from the lock screen and immediately capture. Shooting several photos is quicker than the blink of an eye. Users can also take beautiful panorama pictures with Galaxy Nexus. Just point and touch the shutter and pan the phone from one side to another, Android instantly stitches together an expansive panorama photo. Alternatively, they can shoot stunning videos in full 1080p with features like continuous focus, real time zoom and time lapse mode. The camera is also capable of making effects like silly faces and background replacement. After completed capturing, users can create their own movie with Movie Studio and upload it to YouTube to share with everyone. Galaxy Nexus will be available in the U.S., Europe, and Asia beginning in November 2011 and gradually rolled out to other global markets.

Have you ever been annoyed having a smartphone that does not have an important feature like Wi-Fi, touch screen lagging or unresponsive when swiping or screen display is too small for web browsing? Well, don’t resist yourself any longer, look beyond the boundaries of yesterday’s technology and unleash the freedom of tomorrow with the next frontier in the evolution of mobile communications with the next generation smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S II. Promising to be thinner, lighter, and faster than the Galaxy S that preceded it, this smartphone is probably the closest rival to Apple’s iPhone 4S at the moment.

This Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone comes with 4.3″ SUPER AMOLED Plus display for more vibrant colors, enhanced clarity and readability and improved battery consumption for the best viewing value of any smartphone. You will be amazed by the truly vivid color reproductions and because contrast ratio is very high, you can clearly see separations of light and dark. The smartphone also boasts heavily customized 3D TouchWiz UX futuristic user interface. Through the personalizable UX, users can select contents that they use most to the main screen such as gallery, music, video, email, notes, games and weather to provide easy access to their contents.

The Dual Core Application Processor delivers fast response time for fluid user interface, quick web page rendering, fast loading of applications, high-speed multi-tasking, snappy streaming, lightning fast image editing and high performance gaming. Featuring abilities for encoding/decoding supporting video play and recording, the Samsung Galaxy S II demonstrates outstanding power and performance. Sporting a 8.49 ultra-slim design, the Samsung Galaxy S II features luxurious design and an easy grip.

Galaxy S II also ensures simple and fast media experience. Thanks to the super fast wireless standard HSPA+ 21Mbps, users can enjoy seamless video streaming. Equipped with newly introduced Kies 2.0, Samsung GALAXY S II can sync with a computer using a Wi-Fi network for PIM backup, subscribing to contents, and multimedia contents sharing. Other than that, AllShare lets the Samsung GALAXY S II link wirelessly with a TV, laptop or even audio system to play multimedia files directly from the phone. Alternatively, Galaxy S II allows point-to-point Wi-Fi communications connect with device-to-device wireless transfer speeds of Wi-Fi without a wireless access point.

Galaxy S II also boasts 8MP camera with LED flash which takes beautiful, detailed photos even in low light conditions. Fast scene switches enables quick switch to the 2MP front facing camera to capture self-portraits. The camera is also capable of 1080p Full HD Recording, capturing all memorable moments easily and in high resolution. And with 16 GB of internal memory (expandable to 48 GB with optional 32 GB microSD card), you have tons of room for all your favorite memories. Galaxy S II is also ready to rock with preloaded apps such as Gmail, Google Places, Android Market, Google Maps and Youtube. So do you think this stunning smartphone lives up to its hype?

I own a Samsung Galaxy S II which has a 4.3 inch display. Sure its vivid, fast and responsive, but sometimes i wish the screen was slightly bigger so that i can reduce on scrolling/zooming and yet small enough to fit into my pants pocket. Thats where Samsung Galaxy Note comes into the picture. Its a new category of product developed through Samsung’s deep consumer understanding and insight which integrates core on-the-go benefits of various mobile devices while maintaining smartphone portability, to create a whole new user experience. The much hyped new smartphone combines market’s largest HD Super AMOLED display, supreme portability and advanced S Pen interface. The S Pen combined with the Galaxy Note’s full touch screen enables users to freely capture and create ideas while on the go, just like the artistic freedom of a paper notebook. Pictures, voice recordings, typed text, handwritten notes or drawings can all be captured via a single application and converted to a ‘memo’, to be edited, annotated and shared as desired.

I am not even sure to label it as a super large smartphone or a mini tablet, but it definitely fits nicely to cater a segment of customers who want the optimal balace between smartphone portability and immersive table like viewing experience. Measuring just 9.65mm thin, the GALAXY Note fits comfortably in a pocket to offer true portability. The Galaxy Note has an unconventional display size of 5.3 inch, with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The expansive high-resolution screen provides vivid clarity that is superior to conventional HD displays and an immersive viewing experience. This ensures the best viewing experience for video, photo, document and web on the go with deep blacks and bright colors. The superior screen also offers 180 degree viewing angle, allowing contents to be shared comfortably with more people.

Under the hood, its powered by a 1.4GHz dual core Samsung Exynos processor and 1GB or RAM which ensures the device is incredibly fast and a smooth user interface. Blazing fast network speeds are enabled through the HSPA+ and LTE-enabled device’s super-fast connection, ensuring a quick and seamless browsing experience. Similar like the Galaxy S II, it boasts a 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash capable of 1080p video recording and 2 megapixel camera at the front for video calls. Just like other high end smartphones, the Galaxy Note comes with accelerometer, gyro, proximity sensor and a barometer. Shipped with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, it comes with Samsung’s custom Android skin known as TouchWiz. In the nutshell, Galaxy Note’s huge is could be its biggest asset and its biggest setback. If you can withstand its gigantic size, the Note is one of the more powerful and flexible Android smartphones out there.

Nokia has been producing solid, reliable hardware but has lacked engaging software in the recent years. In efforts to recapture its former glories, Nokia partnered with Microsoft to enable its phones to be shipped with Windows Phone. Nokia unveiled the new Nokia Lumia 900 Windows Phone available exclusively on the AT&T network in the US and is Nokia’s first 4G LTE handset. Lumia 900 brings Windows Mobile 7.5 a.k.a Mango with 250 new features including IE9, threaded messages, improved Xbox LIVE integration, multi-tasking and improved live tiles allowing more information to be displayed on the homescreen. The Windows Phone user interface comes with bold graphics, clear typography, and fast navigation, the phone allows people to spend less time figuring out what to do with it, and more time using it.

Nokia’s third Lumia smartphone, the Lumia 900 sports appealing design on the outside and rich social and Internet experience on the inside, delivering a rich content experience from a phone that still fits easily in your hand. Being the first of Nokia’s Windows Phone based range to feature high-speed LTE connectivity, Nokia Lumia 900 churns out incredibly fast connection speeds while on the move. Available in cyan and black matte, the Nokia Lumia 900 integrates well an attractive polycarbonate unibody with the
Gorilla Glass display. Similar like Lumia 800, there is a unobtrusive hard camera and volume keys at the right edge of the device and the microUSB charging port and headphone jack at the bottom of the device. Under the hood, Lumia 900 boasts a 1.4 GHz Qualcomm CPU, 512 MB of RAM, and 16 GB of on-board storage

The Nokia Lumia 900′s 4.3 inch AMOLED screen is an absolute joy to behold. Featuring ClearBlack technology, the display not only delivers superior viewing and touch experiences, but is also designed to reduce reflections for crystal clear images indoors and outdoors. The colourful Windows Phone OS Live Tiles interface really shines through and practically beams from the device. The capacitive touchscreen was responsive and we had no problems typing on the Gorilla Glass display. Camera-wise, there’s an 8-megapixel camera at the rear with a 28mm f/2.2 Carl Zeiss lens with a dual-LED flash and a front-facing f/2.4 wide-angle lens that’s great for wide angle shots. Lumia 900 comes with longer lasting 1830 mAH battery so that people can do more without worrying about recharging. Our verdict, Nokia has definitely stepped into the right direction with Windows Phone, offering great powerful hardware combined with user friendly operating system making it one of the most promising phones of 2012.

Groupon has evolved to be a place where the collective power of people coming together to move towards the same goal is achieved effectively in a very short period of time.

It’s amazing how technology has revolutionized almost every aspect of our lives, even in romance. I have heard of so many success stories of people falling in love with complete strangers through the internet. So, what is the most creative wedding proposal that you have ever heard about? Well, i am sure the old fashioned way of getting flowers, wedding ring and go down on one knee is pretty lame and isn’t cool anymore. I’ve heard of unique ways to propose such as putting gigantic ads on the billboard or putting “vacancy” ads on newspapers, but these ideas need a huge budget. Have you ever wondered how to make a proposal to go viral and be witnessed by tens of thousands of people almost immediately without burning a hole in your pocket?

Well, a telco project engineer fully utilised his IT knowledge knowing that the power of internet enables his proposal to spread like wildfire. He “sold” himself on the popular online daily deals website Groupon for marriage to his sweetheart, calling the deal a ‘Grouposal’ as a combination of the words Groupon and proposal. Within a few hours, it garnered over 23,000 “buys” and counting, from everyone around the world supporting his quest for lifelong happiness. He was also flooded by calls from his curious friends who noticed his online proposal. Needless to say, his girlfriend called him 2 hours later to say “Yes”. Thanks to the Internet, virtually anything you desire can be delivered within a short period of time.

The ultimate device to see Movies, TV shows, Apps, Games, Music, Reading and more, plus Amazon’s revolutionary, cloud accelerated web browser is yours for a full price of RM800 only – Kindle Malaysia

I’m using an iPad 2, but i am not sure if my 3 year old daughter is capable of handling it without crashing it. So. i went online scouting for a cheaper tablet for my daughter and bumped into the Kindle Malaysia website. The website provides painless way for Malaysians to buy Kindle, pay only RM150 for the booking fee of Kindle Fire. Once the device arrives you can then pay the remaining fees via cash transaction or bank transfer.

First, I would like to stress that Amazon Fire is not intended to be a contender with Apple’s iPad. Amazon Fire is meant for content consumption, not for any kind of content creation that can be performed on the iPad. Its primary purpose is also to push the products and services that Amazon sells, with tight integration with Amazon’s online markets for apps, books, music and movies.

Kindle Fire features a 7-in. backlit-color screen tablet, a Texas Instruments dual core processor and a customized version of Google’s Android operating system. The all black Amazon Fire has 8GB of storage without media slots (half that of the lowest priced 16GB iPad 2) and weighs 14.6 ounces (33% less than iPad 2). It is estimated 11.5 millimeters thick and does not include a camera. It’s also Wi-Fi only (whereas the iPad has an option for 3G). Leaving out 3G access means users may not always be able to access their Amazon Cloud through the Amazon Fire. Amazon’s Fire looks great with 16 million colors is pretty responsive to touch. Battery life is up to eight hours. Without any camera or external, you cannot perform video chat on this tablet.

The user interface of Amazon Fire bears no resemblance to any Android tablet on the market. The minimalist home screen shows recently accessed content and Apps (books, movies and music) and another section to pin favorites or frequently used items. At the top of the screen is search and menu access to Newsstand, Books, Music, Video, Docs, Apps and Web. The Kindle Fire will arrive pre-registered and filled with access to all of your Amazon content, much of which reside in the cloud. For browsing the web, you can use Amazon Silk, the company’s home grown browser hat uses the power of Amazon’s own cloud servers to offload Web page building duties.

Although it may seem as an iPad alternative for people who have simpler needs like reading books, watching tv or movies, but it does not have killer features like big and vivid sharp screen, thousands of apps and it is not intended to capture or manipulate personal content. While the Amazon Fire may disrupt the Android market, but it is unlikely to have a significant impact on Apple iPad’s business.

I personally do not take DSLR camera while on a holiday is because its huge size and weight. Recognizing the problem that affects most people, Samsung recently unleashed the NX200 mirrorless interchangable lens camera which sports a compact body that fits in the palm of your hand. The Samsung NX200 weighs only 220.4 g (body only, no battery or memory card). To provide a firmer grip, this camera is designed to be ergonomic and comes with rubber coated parts. Featuring an extra large 20.3-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor, the NX200 enables users to capture high quality photos and has a wide ISO range of 100-12,800.

If previously you have faced missing some important shots because your camera is not capable to of capturing continous actions, this camera is comes handy because there is a fast autofocus speed and seven frames-per-second continuous shooting mode. After snapping your photos, you can review your shots on the camera’s vivid sharp and huge 3 inch AMOLED display.

For users convenience to make settings adjustments, there is an updated i-Function 2.0 mode that puts the manual control of settings right on the lens. If creativity is your thing, you’ll be pleased with the 10 smart filters to add to your pictures. Additionally, the NX200 does exceptionally well in recording Full HD videos and is able to capture panoramic landscapes or images in 3D.
